Hi, thanks for sharing. For me the age of the child or the cashier isn't relevant because I don't think we should have a "cut-off-age" Whether the cashier looked 20 or 60 shouldn't matter. The question is fair and when we discourage kids from asking it after a certain age we continue to send the message that old is bad. It's our culture's perception around age and aging that I hope can shift.
